Discover the specific objectives of the programme

The main objective of the project is to build and implement a management system enabling regions and local communities to effectively execute initiatives aimed at reaching climate neutrality. Under this objective, action plans, risk analyses, progress monitoring, and activity evaluation shall be established.

The project assumes active involvement and consultations with local communities, businesses, non-governmental organisations, and public institutions to ensure support and acceptance for climate neutrality initiatives. Communication and social education will be the crucial elements of this objective.

The project aims to obtain additional financial resources from various sources, such as grants, EU subsidies, and partnerships with international organisations. Its objective is the effective absorption and redistribution of these funds to finance activities related to the implementation of the Strategy for Climate Neutrality Eastern Wielkopolska 2040 (RSCN EW 2040). Organising the necessary technical and technological consultancy to explore potential energy solutions that align with the objectives of RSCN. Knowledge about possible solutions and substantive, technical, organisational, and financial assistance will be disseminated through direct support as well as publications and information campaigns directed at relevant target groups. – A climate advisor will be employed in each municipality. Accessible to all residents, they will serve as the first point of contact for green transformation. – Obtaining additional financial resources from various sources to facilitate green transformation in Eastern Wielkopolska. – We will conduct the analysis of the needs of business owners to support the optimal distribution of funds and finance the process of applying for funding for green transformation. – We will prepare thermomodernisation projects for residential and commercial properties, based on the emission inventories of buildings (creating approximately 1,000 simplified energy performance profiles of buildings). – In each municipality, we will create local plans adapted to the needs for energy, transportation, and climate. – All residents and business owners will have access to training and workshops intended to expand their knowledge about renewable energy sources, environment protection, green public procurement, and electromobility (green transformation).

  • A climate advisor will be employed in each municipality. Accessible to all residents, they will serve as the first point of contact for green transformation.

The project will focus on specific areas, crucial for greenhouse gas emission reduction. It will support initiatives related to the transformation of the municipal and housing sector, transportation, and actions for reducing CO2 emissions in small and medium-sized enterprises.

The project involves the development of proven solutions and standards in the area of climate neutrality, which can be transferred and implemented in other regions of Poland and the European Union. The objective is to scale up the activities and maximise impact at national and European level.

Start of the PolicyLab research project which analyses various ways of introducing modern ecological solutions. Our goal is to provide decision-makers with information that will help them effectively implement these changes, from energy transformation to spatial planning. We cooperate with experts to create annual reports with conclusions and solutions in areas such as renewable energy, zero emissions, and social cohesion in the face of these changes. Our long-term objective is to support environmental protection and the effective management of transformation for the benefit of society.
