Steering Committee Meeting
The first meeting of the project steering committee was held on 28 September. The main topic was green standards, i.e. environmentally friendly measures.
The inaugural conference of the project “Life After Coal PL – Implementation of the Climate Neutrality Strategy for Eastern Greater Poland 2040” took place on 29 June in Konin.
The main part of the conference was preceded by a meeting of the Steering Committee. Letters of appointment were issued. During the conference, the action plan for the coming months was presented.
Participants had the opportunity to listen to two panel discussions. The first was on the role of LIFE projects in regional environmental management. It was attended by representatives of Provincial Governments.
The second debate focused on how to communicate in the context of upcoming changes and how to involve the public. Panel aimed to highlight the need to communicate appropriately in order to engage with the community. The panellists were the co-beneficiaries of the project.
The inaugural conference also featured two keynote speeches. Jowita Maćkowiak, Director of the Wielkopolska Regional Planning Office, spoke about “The transformation of Eastern Wielkopolska in planning and strategic documents”. Marta Kubiak talked about “The beginning of the project – life after coal”.
